Like so many
Thousands and thousands
Of use-and-throw items
In our lives
We see the long march
Of the use-and-throw humans
Cast off
Literally cast off
By the Urban Industrial Capitalist system
To add
Insult to injury
Those who reach
Home
Find the doors barricaded
Against them
For after all
They may well be
The carriers
Of the dread disease
When all this is
Over and done with
We must all
Brace for the fight
That is to come
“Let’s get back to normal”
Will be the battle cry
On all sides
What we had
Was not normal
Use-and-throw humans
Are not normal
Those of us who can
Must
Fight the scourges of
Urbanism, Industrialism, Capitalism
