as Kashmir is silenced
We knew it was true
When there was silence for the Yemenis
When there was silence for the Syrians
When there was silence for the Afghans
Whenever there was silence
But now
When this happens at home
There is a visceral feeling of
Being Silenced
Majoritarianism is actually
A hijacking by a vocal minority
A hijacking by a loud-mouthed minority
A hijacking by a with-us-or-against-us minority
That co-opts the silence of the majority
So today
Silence is not Golden at all
Silence is not an option at all
Silence is complicity because
It adds your voice to
The other side
