Mann Ki Baat

Big Brother is always there
He’s always speaking his mind
What He does is always right
Big Brother is always kind

Chandrayaan is Big Brother’s baby
No matter what unkind people say
It has gone to the moon, but he’s right here
Making sure everything is OK

Everyone is Big Brother’s child
Locked up or walking free
The people of Kashmir particularly
But a brother can get angry

A mother’s slap is full of love
And so, a brother’s is, too
Pellet guns and Pepper sprays are just
Endearing ways of convincing you

So sing along with Big Brother, folks
And all of us will prosper
And with Little Brother by our side
We will Divide and Conquer

We will build the Temple folks
And all hail “Jai Shri Ram”
Those that don’t, won’t exist
So no-one will come to harm

Big Brother’s words have the weight of fiat
About science, religion or anything else
Ganesha’s head was Vedic surgery:
How the collective Hindu chest swells!

Don’t ever spoil the party, folks
And never speak your mind
Big Brother will think for all of us, and
The Trains Will Run On Time
